Inzamam takes pay cut for chief selector’s job

LAHORE: Former Pakistan captain Inzamamul Haq has joined the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as chief selector and the sacrifice that he is making is actually worth Rs.400,000/-. The 46-year-old, who was recently released by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), has joined Pakistan cricket on a pay scale of Rs.800,000/- per month as compared to Rs12,00,000/- which he was receiving as the head coach of the Afghan national team - a one-third cut in his pay. Inzamam has been named as the chief selector after he agreed to lower his monthly remuneration.
