CM lauds services, timely action of Dolphin Force
LAHORE: Officers of Dolphin Force Shadman Sector, who arrested criminal elements by taking timely action, called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday.

The chief minister lauded the officials of Dolphin Force on arresting the criminals by taking timely action against them and appreciated their capabilities. He also gave commendatory certificates and cash prizes to the brave and efficient officials.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that by taking timely action against criminal elements, officials of Dolphin Force have performed their duties efficiently, as per the expectations of the people. He said that Dolphin Force has been brought to the field after providing them best training with resources of billions of rupees, adding that the citizens have high expectations of this force, which would have to protect their lives and properties at any cost.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the way these officers have arrested criminal elements, they would also have to perform their duties honestly in future as well and become real protectors of the people through their performance, as heavy responsibilities lies upon them with regard to controlling street crime. He said that the officials would have to perform their duties with honesty in order to fulfill the expectations of the masses. By rendering their duties, they would be blessed in this world and the world hereafter, he added.

The chief minister said he considers that provision of sense of protection to the people would be their success, adding that if they would move forward with revolutionary thinking, they would definitely succeed not only in controlling street crimes but would also win the hearts of the people.

He said that Dolphin Force has been prepared with hard work and is not for any VIP but for safeguarding life and property of a common man, giving him/her sense of protection. He said excellent performance of the officials would raise their image among the people, adding that the force would have to reject corruption, bribery, dishonesty and nepotism, as due to these evils, justice cannot be provided to the masses.

“The officials of Dolphin Force are not only guardian of the citizens but will perform their duties by becoming their friends and well-wishers. They will have to look after the citizens with hard work and honesty and perform their duties by considering their obligations for raising the image of their department. They will have to avoid corrupt elements and have to promote culture of transparency in the country. The chief minister said that process of accountability is also necessary, as the performance of all government departments would improve with accountability.

Addressing on the occasion, Inspector General Police Mushtaq Sukhera said that Dolphin Force has been given modern training in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and this force is working hard for the eliminating street crime. CCPO Lahore Capt (r) Amin Vains, DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf and Dolphin Force SP Syed Karar were also present on the occasion. The officers of Dolphin Force who met the chief minister included Shadman Sector Incharge Waqar Afzal, Waqas Safdar, Ashgar Ali, Sajid Majeed and Abdul Rehman. It may be mentioned that during routine checking in the area of Shadman, Dolphin Force stopped three persons riding on motorcycle, however they managed to escape, upon which, Dolphin force squad chased and arrested them. Weapons were also recovered from the criminals and they were arrested and handed over to the police. The accused have also confessed to robberies
