Fashion Pakistan Week S/S '16 :  Day 2 features star  showstoppers, tiny  skateboarders

KARACHI: The second day of the Fashion Pakistan Week Spring/Summer 2016 was held Friday night at a local hotel, where some of the biggest names of the fashion industry showcased their latest collections. The highlight of the night was the awe-inspiring showstoppers who had the audience on the edge of their seats. Eight designers showcased in total, putting on show the season's latest trends.
Zaheer Abbas
Karachi-based designer Zaheer Abbas opened Day 1 with his collection, which was a breath of fresh air. The designer showcased just how Pakistanis should be dressing up this scorching season - set in a white colour palette, Zaheer Abbas showed A-line dresses, pants, collared tops, knee-length shirts paired with cigarette pants and skirts. Actress Humaima Malick showstopped for the designer.

Jafferjee's was up next with their handbag collection, featuring a wardrobe by Wardha Saleem. Jafferjee's showcased exquisite brown and gold leather bags, with trunk suitcases that exuded a vintage look. Sling, shoulder and handbags as well as floral embroidered-purses were displayed.
Gul Ahmed

Gul Ahmed showcased a vibrant and a perky collection with yellow, orange, pink, green and white being the dominant colours. Jumpsuits, harem pants and flared jackets were paired with chunky earrings to complete the very traditional look. Brightly embroidered shirts, top and coats were displayed.
Amir Adnan

Menswear designer Amir Adnan was next up with his collection that featured denim coats, knee-length shirts for men as well as short coats and summer pants. Actor Azfar Rahman showstopped for Amir Adnan.
Huma Adnan

Huma Adnan of FnkAsia showcased next featuring satin palazzo pants with digital printing. Tasseled long shirts with printed borders, short flair tops and midriff tops paired with printed skirts stood out her in Huma's collection. Very classy and practical.
Nauman Arfeen

Nauman Arfeen showed a collection, which was set in a colour palette of brown, blue and hot pink. Embroidered coats and short shirts were paired with shalwar. Amin Gulgee and environmentalist Taufiq Pasha showstopped for the designer as well as seven young children holding skateboards and wearing t-shirts that read Freedom. Arfeen's collection was met with immense applause.
Zainab Salman

Zainab Salman was next with her collection titled Moonstruck. Sheer organza and Swarovski embellishments were dominant throughout her collection. White, pink, silver and green were the colours that were used, with printed digital pants and culottes that looked very trendy.
Ayesha F Hashwani

Ayesha Farook Hashwani closed Day 2 with her collection that showed maxis, short dresses and knee-length shirts. Chiffon gowns and pallazo pants with digital printing were displayed with a dark and dull colour palette.
